Disturbing Vampire Woman Mariajose Cristerna

However she tries to spin it, Mariajose Cristerna, aka 'vampire woman,' is not your everyday mother of four, as she claims to be.

The 35-year-old is an example of extreme body modification, including a body almost entirely covered in tattoos, as well as implanted horns made of titanium. She also has implants made to look like fangs.

Surprisingly, Cristerna used to be a lawyer in another part of her life.

According to the 35-year-old, it was being a victim of domestic abuse which pushed her toward body art, evidently it was also the impetus behind the extreme measures she took for self expression.

Cristerna was first 'discovered' when revealing herself at a tattoo exhibition.

But even when you look at her extreme images, she says she isn't through with her modifications yet. She has plans to add similar horns in the back of her head.

Cristerna asserts she lives a normal life in her Mexican home. I wonder what her children think normal is?

These are two fantastic Halloween costumes that look great. The bird one could be considered by some as somewhat disturbing, in that you get a look at some blood being pecked out of the woman's body.

I really like the idea behind this, but it could have been executed much better.

Having an adult being birthed has a lot of potential. The problem to me is his smiling face.

Picture rather some added makeup where he looks like he's just coming from the birthing canal; all gooey, wet, and a pained expression of having to enter the world from the safety of the womb.

Also an extremely painful looking woman giving delivery would have added to the fright and extreme factor. Great idea for those who add some of the touches mentioned.

Carved pumpkin and/or gourd art is among my favorites, and I always like to collect them to show to my thousands of readers.

The predator carved pumpkin below is almost as good as it gets, even if you're not a fan of the celestial bug.

The quality of the carving is amazing, and can give you ideas of ines and ways to create texture in other themes you may choose.

The evil tree pumpkin carving below is fantastic. The subtle way the eyes are made to give that evil look is very well done. Also the way the overall theme was created, with the gravestone and man hanging from the limb was thought out nicely. Great pumpkin carving.

Vomiting pumpkins are always interesting to look at. What I liked about the one below is the appearance of the suffering expressed through the eyes.

Five Scary, Extreme, Bizzare Carved Halloween Pumpkins

It's Halloween season, and I would be remiss if I didn't include at least some photos of scary, carved pumpkins to enjoy looking at, but also to give some ideas for our home pumpkin-carving plans.

The first two below are compelling to me, and would be pretty easy to carve out. I like the way they look at they eat their unfortunate smaller victims.
And the one with what appears to be a spaghetti squash in his mouth shows you can use different types of products to carve out your scary art work.

The one immediately below is especially nice from the obvious frightful aspect, but the art of the Halloween pumpkin carving is very well done. It's very detailed, and I like the stitch tracks on his forehead.

Last but not least, we have the scariest one of all below, as we think of the hyped up promises which never had a chance to be delivered. That smile is one of the scariest fake one's I've ever seen. Don't let you kids seen this one.

I love the detail of the spooky outdoor Halloween decoration. Did you notice the head of the green monster inside the car? What about the foot seeming to come out of the side of the vehicle?

Children and families would love this Halloween fixture. Lots of fun. Just enough weird to be entertaining.

I didn't know there was a law against cutting hair, but I guess you better be sure it's your own when you decide to take out the scissors. Or else it could be hair today and gone tomorrow (to the pokey that is).

The same guy, Jared Weston Walter, 22, got into another sticky legal situation when he allegedly decided to use women's hair as a canvas for glue.

Now as far as the latest hair cutting incident, Walter seemingly attempted to cut the hair of a woman but didn't succeed. What is that? Attempted scalping?

Interestingly, Walter had a warrant out there for him in a different hair-gluing incident when he was arrested.

Let's face it, it would be a little scary to have someone with scissors and/or glue coming at you. This guy is just plain weird.

This is one bad Santa Claus, and my first glimpse of it made me wonder what the motivation was behind it, as it didn't seem to be just something done for the purpose of shock alone.

In fact, the people who decorated with Santa decapitating the person, it was as a protest of the commercialization of Christmas said those who put it up. There were also Barbie dolls behind the tree that were decapitated as well.

Maybe they shouldn't take Christmas that seriously. Seems a little too edgy for me. Each to his own I guess.

This just doesn't look like the Santa of my childhood. Hehe. This was just too funny when I first saw it, and still is.

Look at those eyes of Santa, I don't think he's going to be doing too much handing out of presents on Christmas eve. Maybe he already did it and he's winding down after a tough year. Looks pretty rough for only a one-time incident though.

This is one of the weirder Christmas traditions I have ever heard of, and very strange, even to me.

The photo above is of a figure some people in Spain use to beat on with sticks. As they beat the figure, or something that is similar to it, they say the words “¡caga tió!”.

Essentially that's to encourage the object to to poo something out. Really, I'm not kidding!

Of course what is being dropped is little goodies like nuts, torrons and candie. After this goes on and nothing is left, the final object is a salt herring which is shared by the family or community.

This figure actually is set partly into a fireplace when ordered to start pooing, for what reason, I'm not sure.

This was a pretty creative photo shoot of Santa. Poor big elf, never knew what hit him. He didn't know how to react to hot situations, whereas something simple like an avalanche in the North Pole wouldn't have been any trouble for the poor guy at all.

That wasn't an alcohol related situation now was it? I can't tell what those cans are in his hands or lying around his body. Hope Santa has a backup. There are plenty of people looking for jobs this year, so maybe sending a resume up to the North Pole could land you a gig.

Having a look at good old Geoff, I think the rest of us people would prefer you die quietly and let your tattoos return to dust - hehe. But I guess if anyone would have you Geoff, more power to you. This is a really amazing tattoo, but my first response was "wow," that had to hurt.

But that spider web tattoo in the ear and then the spider tattoo just below the ear is really cool, and among one of the more unique spider tattoo and spider web tattoo designs I've ever seen.

One thing I don't like? That snake on the neck just doesn't fit with the spider tattoo design to me, and it would have looked better without it. Otherwise, an amazing spider web tattoo.

In a recent photoshoot for Complex magazine, Eliza Dushku, who was obviously participating to promote the 2nd season premiere of Dollhouse, looked great in the photos, which had her in a lot of skimpy outfits.

When I first looked at this skeleton tattoo on this guy's back, I first thought it was probably a photoshopped image, based on looking at his glasses on his head from behind. As you can see, the glasses are clear when wearing them on his head, and dark when in the mirror.

I think what he did was hide his identity - for whatever reason - by photoshopping the image in the mirror, but not the image on his back, so there's a good chance this may be a real skeleton tattoo.

Assuming it is, it is a really cool skeleton tattoo, and would have been extremely difficult and time consuming to ink on. The detail in the vertebrae area would have been especially hard to do.

Photographer Steven Klein and stylist Carine Roifeld put the great fashion statement together, and did a great job of letting people know what they think of eating meat ... ah, and blood, it looks like.

I've seen a lot of tattoos over the years, many of which are very weird, but for some reason, this one of eyes on the eyelids is just about too much to look at to me.

Here's a very cool carved pumpkin of the Deathstar from Star Wars. You look at it and wonder how someone can make something like this with a pumpkin.
